General Surgery
General surgery encompasses a wide range of procedures, addressing conditions related to various parts of the body. One prominent area within general surgery is abdominal surgery, which includes operations such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and hernia repairs. Appendectomies involve the removal of an inflamed appendix, a common emergency surgery. Cholecystectomies, on the other hand, are performed to remove the gallbladder, often due to gallstones causing pain or infection. Hernia repairs involve correcting protrusions of organs through the abdominal wall, which can cause discomfort and other complications. These procedures are essential for treating acute conditions and improving patients' quality of life.
As part of my practice, I regularly perform general surgery and am recognised by most UK insurance companies. If you have a concern and want to book a consultation, or have been given my details by your insurance company, please get in touch to book a consultation.
